MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - Following a disappointing season at Kansas State, former Wildcats center Ugonna Onyenso is heading to the ACC.

On Wednesday, the 7-footer from Nigeria committed to Virginia, according to a report from 247 Sports.

Onyenso averaged 2.8 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 24 games with K-State during this past season, his lone year with the Wildcats. He joined head coach Jerome Tang following two seasons at Kentucky.

At Kentucky, Onyenso averaged 2.8 blocks per game in just under 20 minutes per game as a sophomore but that defensive ability never showcased itself in Manhattan. Now, he heads to Virginia to join new head coach Ryan Odom in his first season in Charlottesville.

Onyenso becomes the third former K-State player to find a new home this offseason. Guard Brendan Hausen and Dug McDaniel each already entered and exited the transfer portal, with Hausen joining Iowa and McDaniel signing with the Memphis Tigers.
