KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The metro’s newest island-inspired hotel is taking reservations for later this summer.

Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City is expected to open next month near Kansas Speedway. It will offer 228 rooms, including 11 suites. There will be indoor and outdoor pools and Jimmy Buffet-themed restaurants.

“Whether you’re looking to relax and enjoy a meal at LandShark Bar & Grill, sip on a frozen cocktail at 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, or simply unwind by the pool, we’ve created a destination where guests can relax, recharge, and enjoy a taste of paradise,” Trey Bowen, Homefield KC Ownership Group.

Standard rooms start around $400 a night for a weekend stay in August. The hotel is offering the following special offers for people who book sooner than later:

  • License to Chill: Grand Opening Offer – Promotion includes up to 25% off, a $50 hotel credit for dining and drinks, and a complimentary late checkout at noon. The first 100 guests to book will receive a VIP welcome gift featuring Margaritaville-branded merchandise.
  • Lovers’ Retreat – Enjoy a romantic escape for two, complete with a chilled bottle of sparkling wine, chocolate-covered strawberries, and late check-out.
  • Kansas and Missouri Resident Staycation – Residents of Kansas and Missouri can enjoy up to 15% off their stay. To qualify, guests must provide a valid Kansas or Missouri driver’s license upon check-in and pre-pay for one night at the time of booking.
  • First Sip of Paradise – Enjoy 15% off plus a $20 daily hotel credit for dining and drinks at any of the hotel’s four island-inspired dining outlets.

The destination hotel is accepting reservations for stays beginning August 1.
