Bright and calm with a warm stretch ahead
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV)— Mostly sunny Thursday afternoon north of I-70. A mixture of sun and clouds continues south of I-70. A stray shower or two is possible heading south of Kansas City, but most areas will stay dry.
FRIDAY - SATURDAY: After today, the pattern turns quiet and warm, with temperatures tracking 10-15 degrees above where they should be for this time of year, at 72 degrees. There will be some clouds and sunshine for Friday, with a gorgeous weekend on tap. Temperatures will begin to warm up, with highs in the low 70s today and tomorrow, but by the weekend, we crank it up to the upper 70s and low 80s.
SUNDAY: For those going out on Mother’s Day, it will be a wonderful day as we start mild around 65 degrees at 10 a.m. and continue to warm up to the low 80s. The humidity will stay low for the weekend. The UV Index will be very high, however, around 9. This means sunburns begin in 20 minutes or less, so make sure to apply that sunblock.

NEXT WEEK: The humidity will increase, so a little sticky outside. For now, the next 7 days look rather dry, so make sure to water those outdoor plants.
