GREENTON, Mo. (KCTV) - A Holden woman was taken to a metro area hospital after she flipped her pickup truck into a parked car along a rural Missouri highway.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that around 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, emergency crews were called to the area of Missouri Highway 131 and Elmwood Ln., north of Odessa, with reports of a 2-vehicle crash.

When first responders arrived, they said they found a 20-year-old Holden woman had been headed north on the highway in a 2004 Ford F-150 when, for an unknown reason, she veered off the left side of the road.

State Troopers indicated that the pickup hit a ditch and flipped before it hit a parked 2016 Ford Fusion. They did not clarify if anyone had been inside the car at the time.

Emergency crews said that the woman was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. It remains unknown if she was wearing a seatbelt at the time.

Investigators noted that the parked car sustained minor damage while the truck was totaled. No further information has been released.
