RIVERSIDE, Mo. (KCTV) - On Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Baltimore Ravens. One Riverside, Missouri, artist is starting his sixth year of helping fans cheer on their boys in red, white, and gold.

For six years, Jeff Parson has celebrated the Chiefs with his yard art.

“Every year I try to do something new,” said Fearless Jack Rabbit Art and Artist, Jeff Parson.

Currently, art for the Kansas City Royals sits in his front yard in Riverside, but pretty soon that will change. For the last week and a half, Parson has been preparing his Chiefs art for a big debut on Thursday.

“I want it to be just kind of this ever-evolving work of art,” said Parson.

The art will grow throughout the season with some memorable moments on and off the field.

“We will just have to see how the season goes,” said Parson.

He’s got three fan favorites ready for game day.

“A 10-foot Patrick Mahomes in front of a big Chiefs sign, on the other side there is going to be a big Isiah Pacheco and Travis Kelce,” said Parson.

He usually puts head coach Andy Reid out first, but this year he will have to wait.

“He’s like the first ornament on the Christmas tree, but he fell over in the garage and broke his nose,” Parson said. “I can’t put a noseless Andy Reid out in the yard ‘cause what will hold up his glasses?”

A big Chiefs fan, Parson said he can’t wait to see how this season inspires his art.

“What I love is the personality of the team this year. I mean we’ve got the world’s greatest quarterback, our tight end is dating the most famous woman in the world, and we’ve even got a guy whose got a pet alligator. I mean this is the best reality TV show ever, I can’t wait for this season,” he said.

Parson claims at least 3,000 people visited last season, it’s become a staple for so many in Chiefs Kingdom.

“Since I’ve been doing this, people will come up to me and say, ‘We love this, we come, we go eat first down at the Corner Cafe and we come before the game and we take pictures, and it has become a tradition with us,’ and that is what means more to me than anything else that this has become a part of the community,” said Parson.

He’s excited to help many more fans celebrate the team this year as they hit the gridiron again.

“Every year I’ve done it they’ve either gone to the playoff game or the Super Bowl. This is the first year I’ve put the Royals out and now it looks like they are going to make a playoff run,” said Parson. He added, “What I love about is it is what brings us together. That is what I love about football every year more so than the game itself it is just how everyone gets in the mood for football and we are all on that rollercoaster together. We go up, we go down, it is that wonderful coming together of all those emotions.”

You can visit the Chiefs yard art starting Thursday throughout the season.

It’s located just off NW Gateway Avenue in Riverside, just south of Corner Cafe Riverside.
