Kansas City Fire Department announces funeral arrangements for Graham Hoffman

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City firefighter paramedic will be remembered with a public tribute Friday.

The department announced funeral plans for Grahan Hoffman. The 29-year-old died Sunday after investigators said he was stabbed by a woman while transporting her to a hospital.

Hoffman’s funeral will be held at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, Missouri, on Friday, May 2nd.

    • 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Funeral
    • 1 p.m. -2:30 p.m.

The procession will begin at 3 p.m.

The Kansas City Fire Department described the fallen paramedic as a “dedicated professional” and someone beloved by his peers.

Fellow firefighters are wearing a black stripe over their badges in honor of Hoffman.

People across the metro are also encouraged to show their support for KCFD.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is asking for people to “Light the Night” in red through May 4. The red lights are in honor of fallen firefighters and their families, including Hoffman.

The annual tribute takes place leading up to National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, which is May 3-4, 2025.
