FIFA World Cup 2026 announces Kansas City match schedules
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Since 2022, heartland soccer fans have been anxiously awaiting the announcement of which games Kansas City will host in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Now, two years later, the results are in.
Kansas City will host six games, including four group-stage games, one round of 32 and one quarterfinal game.
The group-stage games are scheduled for:
- Tuesday, June 16th
- Saturday, June 20th
- Thursday, June 25th
- Saturday, June 27th
The round of 32 is scheduled for Friday, July 3 and KC’s final game, a quarter-final matchup, will be Saturday, July 11.

2026 will be the first time the men’s tournament has played games in the United States since 1994.
In its bid to be a host city, Kansas City beat out several larger metro areas, including Orlando, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
Other FIFA World Cup 2026 host cities include Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, Monterrey, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver.
