KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - As Sporting KC gets ready to play host to the man considered one of the greatest players ever, artists are now setting that stage.

Fans picked up a paintbrush to create art you’ll see this weekend in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium when Sporting hosts Inter Miami on Saturday.

“It’s Messi, c’mon,” said Cauldron President Meghan Keller. “Everyone is excited to see him but I think it’s going to bring a lot of fans to KC who’ve never been here and so we’ll get to show them how incredible our teams is and how awesome our city is.”

Keller and her team are painting TIFOS, a gigantic canvas that, when finished, she says will look like an amazing masterpiece. They’re actually creating two TIFOS. One for this weekend and another for their next home match at Children’s Mercy Park against St. Louis.

“All of our TIFOS are hand-painted by our Cauldron members as well as other supporters who come out to help,” Keller said.

She’s sure the TIFOS will help pump up fans and the team at Arrowhead Stadium for kick-off Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.

Tom Clark, a Sporting KC fan who helped design the art work, said it’s a labor of love.

“It means a lot to be able to step up and do something like this,” Clark said, “because this organization and the team has given me so much.”
