BELTON, Mo. (KCTV) - Dozens gathered at Random’s Coffee Monday morning to voice their frustrations with Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration.

Republican Congressman Mark Alford held a town hall and was met with significant criticism from his constituents on the recent federal goverment layoffs, the war in Ukraine and the economy, in general.

“Obviously, people are mad. We’re mad too and that’s why we showed up,” voter Deany Good said.

The crowd heckled and even booed Alford during the town hall.

“I know that the Democrats have a plan to try and disrupt things in town hall meetings, but you can walk away if you don’t want to be here,” Alford responded.

“I think that’s something that’s lost in America – real and cordial conversation about things we may or may not agree on,” voter Alex Stone added.
