Cancer survivor receives surprise Arrowhead tour from Chiefs player
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A local cancer survivor was surprised this morning when she got a personal tour of GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium from Chiefs safety Deon Bush.
Bush is a Crucial Catch Ambassador, a partnership between the NFL and the American Cancer Society. The partnership provides funding to local clinics for cancer screenings and treatments.
Guadalupe and her team at Vibrant Health toured Arrowhead and even saw the Chiefs’ locker room.

Bush lost his father to cancer, and he says the diagnosis came too late. This is why he emphasizes how important it is to get early cancer screenings and follow through with treatment.
“Through the entire beginning of this to today, she has been just positive and optimistic,” said Grace Yasmine Simmons, a nurse practitioner at Vibrant Health. ”Always just saying ‘what’s next? what’s next?’ and showing up.”
“Those are the real, like, warriors in my heart,” Bush said. “So, just being around them, and being able to talk to them is just a blessing to me and it lifts my spirit.”
Bush’s favorite part of the team was showing off the hot tubs in the locker room and Guadalupe’s favorite of the tour was everything.
