LINWOOD, Kan. (KCTV) - An injured Bald Eagle that was found in a Kansas field over the weekend is getting a second chance at life thanks to the kindness of rescuers.

Game Wardens with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks say that over the weekend of May 3, they were called by a landowner with reports of an injured Bald Eagle in the area.

Conservationists said they were able to quickly locate the suffering raptor and get it to Operation Wildlife for treatment in Linwood.

Those who do find injured or orphaned wildlife have been warned not to approach the animal but to instead call a local Wildlife Biologist or Game Warden to determine if human intervention is necessary.
