16-foot glass, steel sculpture installed at Merriam Grand Station

MERRIAM, Kan. (KCTV) - A 16-foot outdoor sculpture is being installed at the Merriam Grand Station on April 18.
The sculpture is made of stainless steel and 80 glass fronds weighing a total of 1500 pounds.

The glass was curated by Tyler Kimball, and the steelwork was done by Leopold Gallery; the two collaborated on the design.
The sculpture was made over the course of a year. Merriam Grand Station is a large mixed-use area near Shawnee Mission Parkway and Antioch and is owned by Drake Development.
