KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Sporting KC made moves to its attacking portion of the roster on consecutive days, adding a forward from LIGA MX in one move while swapping another to an MLS foe.

On Wednesday, Sporting KC announced the club agreed to trade forward William Agada to Real Salt Lake in exchange for $850,000 in general allocation money. The deal was made ahead of MLS’ Primary Transfer Window closing.

The club receives $500,000 from Real Salt Lake in 2025 GAM and an additional $350,000 if Agada re-signs with Real Salt Lake beyond this season.

The deal comes a day after Sporting KC acquired 22-year-old old forward Santiago Munoz on loan from LIGA MX club Santos Laguna. The loan provides Sporting KC the option to exercise a permanent transfer at the end of 2025.

Since debuting for Santos Laguna in 2020, Munoz has recorded six goals and six assists in 81 appearances. The Mexican-American forward who is a native of El Paso, Texas, will be added to Sporting’s roster once is his international transfer certificate is processed.

Agada, who was dealt Wednesday, had 24 goals and six assists in 77 appearances for Sporting KC across all competitions. He joined Sporting in June 2022.
