Former Olathe North star heads to Packers on 1-year deal

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Former Olathe North star Isaiah Simmons agreed to a deal with a new franchise on Monday.

According to reports, Simmons and the Green Bay Packers agreed on a one-year deal as the 26-year-old heads into his sixth season in the NFL.

Simmons, who starred at Olathe North and played collegiately at Clemson prior to becoming a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, played the last two seasons with the New York Giants.

He began his career with the Arizona Cardinals and played three seasons there prior to heading to New York.

The 6-foot-4 defender began his career as an outside linebacker but has played in the secondary as well throughout his career.

In 17 games in 2024, Simmons had 12 solo tackles and one fumble forced.
