KU’s Hunter Dickinson named 3rd Team All-American by AP
LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - Kansas center Hunter Dickinson was once again named an All-American, earning Third Team honors from the Associated Press when the honorees were announced Tuesday.
Dickinson, a fifth-year center who is in his second season at Kansas, averaged 17.6 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.
The 7-footer from Alexandria, Virginia, was a Second Team All-American last season as well as his freshman season at Michigan.
Dickinson was the leading scorer for the Jayhawks as they went 21-12. He was the Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year entering the season and was a First Team All-Big 12 selection for his play this season.
In two seasons at Kansas, Dickinson has 33 double-doubles. Entering the NCAA Tournament, Dickinson has double-doubles in seven of his past eight games.
On Thursday, he and the Jayhawks will play No. 10 seed Arkansas in the Round of 64 of the NCAA Tournament. That game will tip off at 6:10 p.m. CT and can be watched on KCTV.
