New Lee’s Summit sports facility opens new options for eastern Jackson County
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A massive new sports facility will soon open for business in Lee’s Summit.
The owners of TM Fieldhouse will hold its Grand Opening on May 16.
TM Fieldhouse has been in the works for two years. It is located at SE Kingsport Drive and SE Hamblen Road.
The new facility includes full-length basketball and volleyball courts, pickleball courts, a full-sized softball and baseball infield and a golf simulator.
The facility will be available to athletes of all ages and for recreational teams through high-level competitive athletes.
Owner Rachel Mullin said the facility will fill a void in the Lee’s Summit area.
“I remember when we drew this sketch on a napkin and now it’s here, now it’s come to life. Seeing people’s reactions - people are in awe,” Mullin said. “Seeing it through their eyes has been pretty incredible. We watched this get built piece by piece, but we get to relive that moment every time someone walks in, and it’s spectacular.”
TM Fieldhouse can hold up to 1,370 people.
During its soft-opening, TM Fieldhouse offers daily open gym as well as hosting men’s and women’s rec basketball and pickleball options.
TM Fieldhouse is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 a.m.-10 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10-10, Saturday 9 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday 9-7. For more information visit www.tmfieldhouse.com.
