Shawnee Mission student puts ‘Boots on the Ground’ for Harvesters

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. (KCTV) - For the past few months, many have reached out about what they can do to help those negatively impacted on the heels of federal cuts.
A Shawnee Mission East junior stopped wondering, rolled up her sleeves, and got to work.
After hearing about cuts to food banks, Adeline Clifford set up nine donation boxes.
“I had just finished a junior project and wanted to help do something about it,” said Adeline.
In conjunction with Boots on the Ground Midwest Adeline worked to provide the following drop-off sites for food donation:

- Indian Hills Middle School – 6400 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS 66208

- Shawnee Mission East High School – 7500 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS 66208
- Lake Quivira Community Center – 100 Crescent Blvd, Lake Quivira, KS
- Shawnee Mission North High School – 7401 Johnson Dr, Overland Park, KS 66202
- Thompson Park in downtown Overland Park, KS
