KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City Chiefs veteran will return to the team, and he’s not the only one happy about the news.

The Chiefs announced Monday they agreed to a new deal with defensive tackle Mike Pennel. Terms of the agreement have not been announced, but the Chiefs and Pennel tweeted the news on their official social media accounts.

The team shared the following video of Pennel on X, showing he had some precious help as he inked his new deal.

The pair was all smiles after the deal was complete.

Pennel played for the Chiefs during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He left for the Falcons and then the Bears before he returned to the Chiefs for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Pennel had 10 tackles and 15 assists last season. He is also credited with three tackles, the most in any season in his NFL career.
