Sporting KC forward who scored 38 goals in 5 seasons transferring to Chivas Guadlajara
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Sporting Kansas City announced on Jan. 7 that the club transferred forward Alan Pulido to LIGA MX club Chivas Guadalajara.
33-year-old Pulido spent five seasons with Sporting as a Designated Player from 2020-2024. He totaled 38 goals and 19 assists in 108 matches for all competitions.
Pulido ranks ninth on the club’s all-time charts in regular season goals, which is 35, and goals in all competitions. The Mexican strikers helped Sporting to the playoffs in 2020, 2021 and 2023. He tallied three assists in the two-game sweep of top-seeded archrival St. Louis City SC in the first round of the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs.
He is returning to the Chivas after three years with the Mexican club from 2016 to 2019 before he arrived in Kansas City for the 2020 season.
Sporting will continue to build the roster for the 2025 campaign. Kickoff is scheduled for Feb. 18 against Inter Miami CF in Round One of the Concacaf Champions Cup at Children’s Mercy Park.
