Staley stars gear up for postseason hoops
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Roughly 1.2% of girls high school basketball players move on to the NCAA Division I level — making a trio of players at Staley High School among rare company.
Sophomore forward Destiny Manyawu and junior guards Ava Miles and Londyn Parker have a long list of DI offers from schools in the Big 12, Big Ten, ACC and SEC ranging from Nebraska and Ole Miss to Kansas and K-State.
“It’s been a great learning experience,” Manyawu said. “It’s also good to know that I have teammates on my team going through the same recruiting process, so it’s nice knowing I will always have somebody to just lean my ideas on.”
The Falcons finished the regular season 24-1 and will host Class 6 Districts next week.

“This is a team full of energy,” Miles said. “That’s how we were built.”
The Class 6 Tournament tips off March 15.
“It’s the same end goal that everyone has, to win a state championship,” Miles said. “I think with this team and the bond that we all have, I think we have that ability.”
“We have a special group out here,” Parker said. “I think we can get it done.” “We’ve been working really hard,” Manyawu said. “I believe in us.”
