Blue Valley Northwest 5-star lineman commits to Michigan
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) - One of the highest-rated recruits in recent Kansas City metro high school football history has announced his commitment to one of college football’s most prestigious programs.
Blue Valley Northwest offensive lineman Andrew Babalola, rated as the 11th-best prospect nationally in the Class of 2025 by 247 Sports, committed to the University of Michigan on Monday night.
Babalola chose the Wolverines over Stanford, Auburn, Oklahoma and Mizzou.
The 6-foot-6 tackle is the No. 2 ranked offensive lineman in his class in the nation. He and Goodland, Kansas, tight end Linkon Cure -- a K-State commit -- are the only five-star prospects in the 2025 class from the Sunflower State.
The Overland Park product visited Michigan on an official visit in June. He visited Mizzou officially in May.
Only Lee’s Summit North product Williams Nwaneri, who was the No. 6 ranked player in the Class of 2024, is a higher-rated high school football prospect than Babalola in recent Kansas City preps history.
