LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - Following a disappointing season at Kansas, AJ Storr is on his way to the SEC.

On Tuesday, Storr made a decision on where he’ll play at for his fourth season of college basketball. The 6-foot-6 forward from Rockford, Illinois, began his career at St. John’s and played as a sophomore prior to his junior year at Kansas.

The college basketball nomad is heading to Ole Miss for his final season in college basketball, marking four schools and four conferences played in for his career.

“On my way,” Storr tweeted following several reports of his transfer.

Storr was a highly anticipated addition for the Jayhawks ahead of the 2024-25 season after averaging 16.8 points per game for Wisconsin a year prior. But as a Jayhawk, Storr struggled mightily, averaging 6.1 points per game on career worsts of 38 percent shooting from the floor and 29 percent shooting from 3-point range.

He had one of the worst on/off ratings in the country as well during his 34 games at KU. Kansas, which entered the year as the preseason No. 1 team in the country, massively underperformed expectations, going 21-13 en route to a 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament and a first round exit.

Dating back to high school, Ole Miss will be the eighth different high school or college Storr has been at in the past eight years.

The bulk of Kansas’ roster has departed to the transfer portal. So far, graduate guard David Coit has transferred to Maryland and forward Zach Clemence has committed to Texas A&M. Now, Storr heads to Ole Miss.
