KJ Adams exits Kansas-Arkansas matchup with Achilles injury
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas senior forward KJ Adams exited Thursday night’s opening game of the NCAA Tournament due to injury.
Adams was carried off the floor and immediately to the locker room after going down while grabbing a defensive rebound late in the second half of the Jayhawks’ matchup with Arkansas.
Kansas head coach Bill Self said the injury was an Achilles injury and KU would get more testing on it Friday.
“We’re hopeful for the best tomorrow,” Self said. “I’m not sure it’s going to be great news, though. To see him potentially lose a year on top of the game, that’s a tough blow.”
