UPDATE: Authorities said Auth has been found and is safe.

LEXINGTON, Mo. (KCTV) - A silver alert has been issued for a missing elderly man from Lexington, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said 78-year-old George R. Arth was last seen in the area of Missouri Highway 7 at Moreland School Road in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Arth is 5-foot-11, 190 pounds and has grey hair and brown eyes.

Authorities said he has dementia and alzheimer’s and is not supposed to drive alone due to his medical condition. He has not returned home and is without his cell phone.

He’s driving a maroon 2011 Ford F-250, MSHP said. It has a Missouri plate with 35J2LD as the license.
