After being drafted by the Chargers, Tillery was waived in 2022 and claimed by the Las Vegas Raiders. He played for the Minnesota Vikings during the 2024 season after leaving Las Vegas.

He joins the Chiefs after Kansas City lost Tershawn Wharton to the Carolina Panthers during this free agency cycle. He’ll join a defensive line room that features star Chris Jones, George Karlaftis, Mike Danna and Felix Anudike-Uzomah.
