LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou’s meteoric rise from four-star high school prospect to NFL draft pick has arrived.

Membou, a 6-foot-4 offensive tackle from Mizzou, was drafted seventh overall in the 2025 NFL Draft by the New York Jets.

The Lee’s Summit North product declared for the draft in December following three seasons with the Tigers and second-team All-SEC honors as a junior.

Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou’s meteoric rise from four-star high school prospect to NFL draft pick has arrived.

Membou becomes the first Missouri offensive lineman to be selected in the first round of the NFL Draft since 1987, when John Clay was selected 15th overall by the Raiders.

He rose up draft boards with an impressive performance at the NFL Draft Combine in February. Membou ran a 4.91 40-yard dash and also led his position group with a 9-foot, 7-inch broad jump. He weighed in at 332 pounds.

Membou signed with the Tigers as part of their 2022 recruiting class as a four-star offensive lineman out of Lee’s Summit North High School. He played in 11 games as a true freshman with the Tigers in 2022 and served as Mizzou’s primary right tackle in 2023, starting all 13 games including a Cotton Bowl win over Ohio State.

Membou started 12 games at right tackle again for Mizzou in 2024 but did not play in the Tigers’ Music City Bowl win over Iowa.

The 2023 season included a Joe Moore Award semifinalist honor for Membou and the Mizzou offensive line, and the Lee’s Summit native was an Outland Trophy Watch List member in 2024.

NFL.com’s prospect evaluation said Membou has “impeccable body control and poise in his pass sets,” but said his weaknesses include “far below height standards for NFL starting tackles.”
