WARRENSBURG, Mo. (KCTV) - A Warrensburg man has been charged in Jackson County on crimes that accuse him of financially exploiting an elderly individual.

According to court documents filed Monday in Jackson County, Daniel Eschliman is accused of making false promises about construction and concrete installation services. The alleged crimes occurred between April 8, 2022, and Oct. 17, 2022.

Jackson County prosecutors claim Eschliman “made false promises that defendant... did not intend to perform or knew would not be performed.” The services were allegedly going to be performed by Eschliman Construction, LLC, for an appropriated value of at least $42,740, court documents said.

Eschliman is charged with three felonies by the Consumer Protection Division. The charges include financial exploitation of an elderly or disabled person, stealing $25,000 or more and deceptive business practice.
