Independence bar shooting injures 1, leads to arrest of suspect

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - A shooting at an Independence bar left one person injured and another person in custody Monday evening.
The Independence Police Department said officers arrested a person of interest following a shooting at Patio 816, a restaurant location at 19700 E. Valley View Parkway.
A man was shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting, IPD said. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Police said they were called to the restaurant for an armed disturbance.
Details on the circumstances that led up to the shooting have not been shared.
IPD said the case remains under investigation.
