PETTIS CO., Mo. (KCTV) - The man accused of a rape in the metro now also faces charges for the theft of several motorbikes he allegedly committed with a group of juveniles.

Pettis County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Tuesday, April 29, indicate that Terrence Bell, 25, of Kansas City, Missouri, has been charged with the theft of several motorbikes from a local business.

A probable cause statement filed by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office revealed that around 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 26, 2024, law enforcement officials were called to a local business with reports of a theft. When they arrived, they found that five individuals were believed to have broken in and five motorbikes were stolen.

Investigators noted that the theft caused the business a loss of nearly $44,000. Throughout the course of the investigation, it was found that the suspect vehicle had been reported stolen the day before.

In November, the Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Warrensburg Police Department, which reported the suspect vehicle had been found at the scene of another break-in. Five suspects, including Bell and four juveniles, were arrested as a result.

During his arrest, law enforcement officials said Bell’s phone was seized and searched; however, the results of the search were not made available to investigators until March 2025. Data from the phone indicated Bell to be the same individual who stole the motorbikes.

As a result, Bell has been charged with burglary, stealing, property damage and endangering the welfare of a child. Between the time investigators had applied for the search of the phone and the time those results were received, he was arrested for an alleged rape in Kansas City.

A warrant with the condition of a $50,000 bond was issued for Bell’s arrest on Wednesday. As of Sunday, May 4, he remains behind bars in Jackson County with no bond listed. A hearing has not yet been scheduled. No further information has been released.
