Conservative podcaster to run for Kansas Governor in 2026
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Doug Billings is the first candidate to file for the Kansas Republican Party’s nomination for Governor of Kansas in 2026.
Doug Billings is a conservative podcaster who calls himself a “MAGA conservative outsider.” According to his website, he seeks to bring President Donald Trump’s “people-first leadership to the Sunflower State.”
He says he wants to implement a K-DOGE plan to slash regulations and taxes in Kansas.

Secretary of State Scott Schwab (R) announced his intention to run for Kansas Governor on Jan. 8, 2025.
Kansas Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt told 13 NEWS that several people have asked her about running for Governor and she is considering it.
