Neighborhood development fund awards $3.2 million to local nonprofits
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - More than $3 million has been awarded through the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund to nonprofit organizations across Kansas City.
The NTDF will help support 336 events and projects during the 2025-2026 funding cycle, the city announced Thursday.
“The NTDF is one of the many ways Kansas City celebrates its neighborhoods, fosters creativity, and strengthens community ties,” said Interim City Manager Kimiko Gilmore. “By investing in events that reflect our city’s energy and identity, we’re building a more connected, inclusive, and welcoming Kansas City for residents and visitors alike.”
Some of the grant recipients include the 18th and Vine Arts Festival Foundation, Guadalupe Centers, Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council, Kansas City Ballet Association and more.
Nonprofit organizations that promote Kansas City as a destination through open, public events like festivals, concerts, cultural celebrations, and more. Events must take place in Kansas City and be accessible to both residents and visitors.
