Kansas City Chiefs fans prepare to “Run This Kingdom” at Arrowhead

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The time to prepare to “Run This Kingdom” is now.

Early registration is open for the spring 5K at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium later this year.

The theme this year is “Run This Kingdom.” The race is scheduled to take place on June 7, 2025. It is the 12th year for the event.

Those participating in the event will run or walk through parking lots surrounding both GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium. The route then enters the Arrowhead concourse, Hall of Honor, and ends on Chiefs Way.

Participants will be entertained with Chiefs fun facts and interactive stations to help them along the route. They will also see 12-foot-tall Vince Lombardi Trophies, large Super Bowl rings and even a giant Patrick Mahomes bobblehead.

Runners will also be cheered on by Chiefs Hall of Famers Tamba Hali and Neil Smith.

There are different options, depending on age:

• 1K run/walk
  • 12 and under
  • Race starts at 8 a.m.
• 5K
  • Open to all
  • First of multiple waves begins at 8:15 a.m.
• Diaper Dash
  • Capped at 100 participants
  • Only open to Missouri & Kansas residents
  • Starts at 9:30 a.m. in Lot M

Organizers said the event gives fans the unique experience to race through the iconic stadium.

After the race, everyone is welcome to a post-race celebration in Lot M. The fun will feature KC Wolf, the Rumble, and Chiefs Cheer. There will also be a DJ, food, beverages and other activities.

Registration Details

Early bird registration is open through Wednesday, April 30, offering discounted pricing for participants of all ages.

Early-bird rates include:

• $10 for ages 6-15 months for the Diaper Dash
• $15 for children 12 and under
• $40 for Chiefs Season Ticket Members
• $45 for the general public

Standard registration runs from Thursday, May 1 through Wednesday, May 28, and will be priced as follows:

• $10 for ages 6-15 months for the Diaper Dash
• $18 for children 12 and under
• $45 for Chiefs Season Ticket Members
• $50 for the general public

Pre-event registration will be available from Thursday, May 29 to Saturday, June 7 at the following rates:

• $10 for ages 6-15 months for the Diaper Dash
• $20 for children 12 and under
• $51 for Chiefs Season Ticket Members
• $56 for the general public

Included with Registration

All registered participants will receive a commemorative GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K t-shirt and bib. The first 2,500 registrants will receive a mini finisher pennant included in their race packet.

The event will also offer a virtual option for participants who cannot attend in person or prefer to run their own course.
