Pleasant Hill R3 asks voters to approve building safety, renovations & upgrades for students

PLEASANT HILL, Mo. (KCTV) - On April 8, Pleasant Hill residents have the opportunity to vote on a multi-million dollar bond in support of Pleasant Hill R3 public schools.

If passed, the $18.4 million bond would fund:

  • Safety & Security upgrades
  • Renovation to the existing elementary school
  • Addition/renovation at the middle school
  • District-wide roof, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades
  • Career Tech upgrades at the high school
  • Stadium features including bleachers, press box, and new field house

This is a no tax rate increase bond, meaning current tax bills will not increase due to the bond proposal.

Voters can download a registration form or pick one up at the Cass County Clerk’s Office.

The Pleasant Hill R-III School District serves approximately 3,000 students across five schools, including preschool, elementary, middle, and high schools in northeast Cass County, about 40 miles northeast of Kansas City.
