KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Former Missouri quarterback Drew Lock and the Seattle Seahawks agreed to terms on a deal that brings Lock back for another season in the Pacific Northwest.

Lock, who spent the 2024 season with the New York Giants, played for the Seahawks in 2022 and 2023. In the latter year, he started two games and won one of them for Seattle as a backup for Geno Smith.

News of the agreement was first reported by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The former Mizzou star will back up Sam Darnold, who agreed to terms on a lucrative deal with the Seahawks following a standout season with the Minnesota Vikings.

Lock, a former first-round pick out of Mizzou, will be in his seventh NFL season this coming fall. For his career, he’s totaled 6,354 passing yards, 34 touchdowns and 28 interceptions.
