COLUMBIA, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri fans will be familiar with the first name to join their men’s basketball program via the transfer portal this offseason.

On Thursday, Loyola Marymount transfer Jevon Porter committed to Mizzou, becoming the fifth Porter sibling to play for the Tigers.

Jevon’s brothers Michael and Jontay played for the Tigers in the 2017-18 season. His sisters Cierra (2015-19) and Bri (2014-16) also played for the Tigers.

The 6-foot-11 forward averaged 12.5 points and 7.2 rebounds at Loyola Marymount during the 2024-25 season after starting his collegiate career with two seasons at Pepperdine.

He’s the first addition from the transfer portal for head coach Dennis Gates after the Tigers earlier this week lost junior forward Aidan Shaw.

Jevon played high school basketball in Columbia at Father Tolton Catholic School. He was a WCC All-Freshman team selection at Pepperdine during the 2022-23 season.
