COLUMBIA Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri forward Aidan Shaw announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal Tuesday, less than a week after concluding his third season with the Tigers.

Shaw shared a post on social media with a statement thanking the University.

“I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to the Mizzou staff for the opportunity to play at the University of Missouri,” said Shaw, a Blue Valley High School product. “Over the past three years, I have had truly remarkable experiences filled with unforgettable moments.

“Although it is a difficult decision, I believe it is important to prioritize my future. After careful consideration and discussions with my family, I have decided to enter the transfer portal. Thank you, Mizzou, for everything.”

Shaw averaged 3.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in 92 career games with the Tigers. He was a top-100 recruit out of Blue Valley High in the Class of 2022. He played in 28 games for the Tigers this season but made no starts a season after starting 10 games for Mizzou.

He’s the first Tiger to enter the transfer portal following Mizzou’s first-round loss in the NCAA Tournament to No. 11 seed Drake. During his three seasons as a Tiger, Mizzou appeared in the NCAA Tournament twice.
