Mizzou closes 2024 college football season ranked in AP poll

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KCTV) - A second straight 10-win season for the Missouri Tigers landed them in the final Associated Press poll released Tuesday.
Mizzou, which finished 10-3 following a Music City Bowl win over Iowa, finished No. 22 in the AP poll. The Tigers also finished No. 19 in the final College Football Playoff rankings and No. 20 in the Coaches Poll.
The final AP ranking marked the 20th time in program history the Tigers have ended the season in the top 25. Since the College Football Playoff’s inception in 2014, the No. 19 ranking is Mizzou’s fourth time being in the end-of-season ranking.

Mizzou was one of seven teams from the Southeastern Conference to appear in the final poll. Two of the three teams Mizzou lost to in the 2024 season also appeared in the final poll, with Alabama ranking No. 17 and South Carolina ranking No. 19 in the final iteration released a day after Ohio State defeated Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
