Kansas City investigators make 96 arrests, seize 24 guns during enforcement

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Investigators round up drugs, dozens of guns and arrest nearly a hundred suspects across Kansas City in just a matter of days.

Last week’s effort to make the area safer involved Kansas City police, the FBI, ATF, DEA, Missouri State Highway Patrol and probation and parole officers.

The officers and agents arrested 96 people wanted on federal, state, or city charges according to KCPD. Investigators also issued 89 new charges during the operation.

The arrests included suspects in four homicides. Police have not yet released the names of the suspects or the homicides they are accused of committing.

Officers also recovered meth, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, oxycodone, and other drugs.
