Kansas City Oktoberfest returns to Crown Center this fall
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Oktoberfest returns to Kansas City this fall, promising to bring a lot of fun and flavor to Crown Center.
Kansas City Bier Company announced the popular event will include Bavarian-style bier, food, music and activities.

- Friday, Oct. 3
- 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 4
- 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 3
Tickets
Oktoberfest tickets go on sale July 1.
- Advance tickets: $14 per person
- Tickets starting Sept. 20, $17 per person
- Tickets at the door: $20 per person
- Children 12 and under are free
The event is modeled after the traditional Munich Oktoberfest in Germany.
Kansas City Bier Company said the official festival bier is Festbier. It is described as a clean, crisp, and malty Vienna-Style Lager made with imported German malt and hops.
Entertainment
There will be entertainment provided on three different stages throughout the event.
Organizers said the north tent will have traditional and polka music. The south end is where people will hear rock and festival music.
KC Oktoberfest will also welcome the following music acts:
- Die Schlauberger
- The Polka Brothers
- Über Cool
- The Baric Brothers
- The Polkanauts
- Bram Wijnand’s Polka on Steroids
- The Happy Wanderers
There will also be a dance group that performs hourly and roaming Alphorn players.
Food Vendors
Traditional Bavarian-style food will be served including:
- Bravarian pretzels
- Dunkel brats
- sausages
- schnitzel
- goulash
- käsekuchen
