Concert calendar: Hot Country Nights announces free summer music lineup

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Things will soon heat up downtown as Hot Country Nights plans a summer return.

Organizers announced the concerts coming to Kansas City Live! at the Power & Light District starting next month. This is the 17th year for the annual summer concerts downtown.

The concerts will take place on Thursday nights between Memorial Day and the end of August. Gates open at 6 p.m.

Concerts and dates are as follows:

    • Wyatt Flores with special guest Kaitlin Butts
  • June 5
    • Chase Matthew*
  • June 12
    • Joe Nichols*
  • June 19
    • Billy Currington
  • June 26
    • Bryan Martin*
  • July 3
    • Outlaw Jim and the Whiskey Benders with special guest Sequoia Newland and the Redwood Revolvers
  • July 10
    • Ole 60*
  • July 17
    • Austin Snell
  • July 24
    • Lee Brice
  • July 31
    • Corey Kent*
  • August 7
    • Randy Rogers Band*
  • August 14
    • Aaron Watson*
  • August 21
    • Max McNown

Concerts with an asterisk is free for guests 21 and older. Anyone under the age of 21 will need to pay a cover charge. Anyone under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian until 9 p.m. when everyone under the age of 21 will be required to leave the area.

There are also upgrade options available.

  • Mezz Terrace
    • Provides access to Shark Bar and second-level mezzanine
    • Limited to first-come, first-served
    • Amenities include private bathrooms, air conditioning, additional indoor seating and multiple bars
  • PNC Patio
    • Exclusive viewing platform
    • Private cocktail bar with expedited entry
  • PBR Party Starter
    • All-inclusive drink package, domestic beer and call cocktails from 6-8 p.m.
    • Cover-free access to PBR Big Sky for the night
