PIPER, Kan. (KCTV) - Wyandotte County voters are being asked to consider a $32.5 million bond for Piper school kids.

The money is slated for upgrades, including remodeling, technology improvements, and land acquisition for expansion.

Phase 1 monies passed in 2018 went toward the construction of the new Piper High School, among other district improvements.

Piper District held a half-dozen informational sessions, in-person and Zoom, to answer questions voters may have ahead of the April 15 vote.

According to the district, if passed, the phase 2 bond would cost a $200,000 homeowner approximately $4.62 per month.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
