BVNW product Gavin Hoffman commits to Missouri after entering transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KCTV) - A local high school football product who began his collegiate career at Iowa is now headed to Missouri.
On Friday, Blue Valley Northwest product Gavin Hoffman announced his commitment to Missouri following one year at Iowa.
Hoffman, who was rated a four-star recruit out of high school by the 247 Sports composite rankings, did not play in any games for the Hawkeyes as a true freshman. The 6-foot-5 tight end was a first-team All-State selection as a senior and holds the BVNW school record in career receiving touchdowns.
He entered the transfer portal on April 3 and committed to Mizzou just over two weeks later.
Out of high school, Hoffman chose Iowa over Mizzou and Arizona State.
