CBS Mornings to broadcast from Kansas City ahead of NWSL Championship
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - For the first time in nearly 11 years, the Kansas City area will host a professional soccer championship.
The NWSL Championship will take place at CPKC Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 23, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.

CBS Mornings announced that it would bring its entire show with anchors Gayle King, Nate Burleson, and Tony Dokoupil to the City of Fountains and broadcast live from the stadium on Friday, Nov. 22.
“We will have soccer stars, special guests, and even a taste of Kansas City,” Burleson said.

The show will air on KCTV5 from 7-9 a.m.
The KC Current has the chance to play host for the championship game. The Current take on Orlando in the semifinals on Sunday at 7 p.m.
In December 2013, Sporting Kansas City won the MLS Championship over Real Salt Lake in a match played at then-Sporting Park.
