DJ Giddens picked by Indianapolis in 5th round of 2025 NFL Draft
MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - K-State’s DJ Giddens is on his way to Indianapolis.
The Junction City, Kansas, native and K-State star was selected with the 151st overall draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts.
Giddens rushed for more than 3,000 yards during his three playing seasons as a Wildcat. He redshirted in 2021.

Giddens rushed for more than 1,200 yards in both his sophomore and junior seasons after playing a backup role to star K-State running back Deuce Vaughn during his freshman season in Manhattan.
In 2024, Giddens was a Doak Walker Award semifinalist as one of the best running backs in college football. He was also an All-Big 12 Second Team selection. In 2023, he was an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors following a 4-touchdown and 295 total yard performance against UCF. In 2022, he was an Honorable Mention for Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year.

Giddens, who prepped at Junction City High School prior to his time at K-State, ran a 4.43 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in February. The 6-foot, 212-pound running back broke Darren Sproles’ K-State record of 6.55 yards per carry during his final season as a Wildcat.
