MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - An Olathe native and Kansas State standout is headed to the National Football League.
K-State cornerback Jacob Parrish was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 3rd round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Parrish, a 5-foot-10, 191-pound defensive back who is from Olathe and attended Olathe North, entered the NFL Draft following three seasons in Manhattan.
Parrish was twice an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection by the league’s coaches, earning the honor for his play in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
In three seasons in a Wildcat uniform, he made 24 starts in 38 career games. As a junior, Parrish made 50 tackles.
For his career, Parrish had five interceptions -- four of which came during the 2023 season. As a freshman, Parrish was a reserve cornerback and special-teams contributor on a Wildcat team that won the Big 12 and appeared in the Sugar Bowl.
At the NFL Draft Combine in February, Parrish ran a 4.35 40-yard dash. His athleticism score based on NFL.com’s NextGenStats breakdown had him fourth among all cornerbacks.
