SPOKANE, Ore. (KCTV) - The K-State Women’s basketball team’s bid for a March Madness title has ended.

Kansas State Women’s basketball team fell to the USC Trojans on Saturday night, March 29, during the Sweet 16 match of the March Madness tournament. With that, the Wildcats’ bid for a title has ended.

The team took on the Trojans in the Spokane Arena and ended the first quarter trailing 9-16. By the second half, however, the Wildcats led 30-28.

At the end of the third quarter, the ‘Cats were struggling to catch up as they trailed 45-48. In the end, the team suffered a 61-67 loss.
