MANHATTAN, Kan. (KCTV) - As the Big 12 league office announced All-Big 12 Women’s Basketball Awards on Tuesday, a group of K-State women were named to various All-Big 12 teams.

For the first time in program history, K-State had five different players earning a spot on All-Big 12 teams since the league formed in 1996-97. The Wildcats’ representation this season is the 10th straight year in which K-State has had two or more players earn All-Big 12 honors.

Senior guard Serena Sundell was named an All-Big 12 First Team honoree for the second straight season. She was named an All-Big honorable mention her first two seasons in college, giving her an All-Conference award in all four seasons she’s been at K-State. Sundell averaged 13.5 points per game and a Big 12 leading 7.1 assists per game.

The 7.1 assists per game for Sundell are second-most in women’s college basketball. Sundell is also the only player in school history with 1,500 career points, 700 career assists and 100 career blocked shots.

Senior center Ayoka Lee was named an All-Big 12 Second Team member. Lee averaged 15.5 points per game but only played in 19 of K-State’s 31 games due to injury.

K-State’s representation on the All-Big 12 Third Team comes from senior forward Temira Poindexter, who averaged 12.7 points per game.

Senior guard Jaelyn Glenn was named an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and sophomore guard Zyanna Walker was named to the All-Big 12 Defensive Team.

K-State is the No. 5 seed in the 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament. The Wildcats will play the winner of Wednesday’s first round game between 12-seed BYU and 13-seed UCF.

TCU’s Mark Campbell was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year and TCU guard Hailey Van Lith was named Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.
